We are a nondenominational church located on Ellis Ave a few blocks the Castle Hill Avenue train station on the 6 line. On May 31, 1987 the Lord has established the Glory of Christ Church using a man by the name of Pastor Raymond Talavera. Throughout the years we have been growing strong through the word of God and in love for the people. We are a bilingual church speaking both English and Spanish.

We are a Christ-Centered Church

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. – Hebrew 12:1-2

We are a praying church
An hour before of every service we leave open for a time of individual prayer and throughout the service we pray and intercede. Always to seek the face of God and lift up petitions.

In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak. –  Ephesians 6:16-20

We are a teaching church
Always teaching and instructing the members and the community on how to grow closer to God and grow stronger in their walks with Christ.

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:18-20

We are a church of worship
Always ready to open our heart in worship and in song to the Lord in both spirit and in truth.

Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” – John 4:23-24

We are a church of accountability
Helping to strengthen each other to our walk individually and corporately.

Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor. For each will have to bear his own load. – Galatians 6:1-5
